Student opportunities in plant science

CSIRO Plant Industry offers a range of opportunities for students interested in the plant sciences including summer studentship, honours projects and doctorates (PhDs).

CSIRO Plant Industry is one of the world's leading research centres for plant sciences doing both basic and applied research to support profitable and sustainable agricultural and horticultural industries, develop novel plant products and improve natural resource management.

Every year CSIRO Plant Industry has on average 70 doctoral (PhD) and honours students and every year hosts up to 20 summer students.

Students are a real asset to CSIRO Plant Industry’s research and its scientific community.

By fostering student development and a student's research interests CSIRO Plant Industry believes that Australia will continue to be served by great science and great scientists into the future.
