The ICT Centre was established in 2003 to leverage the potential of ICT-enabled scientific innovation for all Australian industries. Our origins date back to CSIRO’s radiophysics research in the 1940s.

We have around 250 research staff in six sites across Australia.

Our staff deliver innovative solutions for industry, society and the environment with the leadership of our senior executives:

Dr Ian Oppermann.

Dr Ian Oppermann is bringing his extensive international experience to bear on expanding industry engagement with the ICT Centre and on achieving CSIRO's scientific and business goals in information and communication technologies.

Dr Darrell Williamson

Dr Darrell Williamson fosters the scientific research capabilities of CSIRO's ICT Centre.

Mr Gary Morgan.

Mr Gary Morgan focuses on fostering business development and commercialisation opportunities, as well as strategic international engagement.

Dr David Hansen, the Australian e-health Research Centre's CEO.

The Australian e-Health Research Centre (AEHRC) is the largest national research facility applying information and communication technologies (ICT) to improving health services and clinical treatment for all Australians.
